HMS Hermes R12 1959-1984 1/200 full hull model ship kit . The ski ramp was added in 1981 and she became a Harrier strike carrier. In 1982 she was the flagship in the task force sent to the Falklands.
The ship was then sold to the Indian Navy and renamed INS Viraat. Model is filament printed in 3 hull sections with steel rod location and resin printed Island mast and cranes boats etc. Deck markings template and transfer tape, also supplied. Model is 1160mm long. 230mm wide and 110mm from keil to deck. The island and ramp parts needs to be doweled together with glue and filler to conceal joint (dowels supplied). Acrylic or Enamel paints can be used (not supplied) Flags rigging and railings can be added (not supplied).
